      Professional "S" cutlery also has "Friodur" forged blades, but with a two piece plastic handle rivetted to the full tang. Professional "S" Cutlery Sigmaforge is one piece precision forging used in manufacturing of Pro "S" cutlery. Forging from a single piece of steel has the following benefits:

      Henckels Is famous for its "Friodur" knife. High carbon, no-stain steel is ice hardened, ground and hand honed. Now it has been improved with new state-of-the art "S.C.T." (Sintermetal Component Technology) which bonds super hard structural steel in the tang to improved "edging" steel on the blade.
