I am a line cook in Portland, Oregon. This spoon is a work horse on the sauté station. I use it for plating braised meat pieces, potatoes, literally anything I’m trying to strain out of my pan before plating. The handle is a perfect length for just about any sized hand, the bowl of the spoon is deep but has enough of a spout shape up front for fine pouring. I love every spoon from this collection; they really are the best. I used to scoff at the price and idea of a plating spoon from a chef, but do yourself a favor if you work in a line kitchen and buy the whole damn set. You’ll thank yourself later.

I am a line cook in Portland, Oregon. This is my go to spoon for poaching eggs, straining vegetables or meat pieces from a pan for plating, or plating delicate filled pastas or dumplings. I love every spoon from this collection; they really are the best. I used to scoff at the price and idea of a plating spoon from a chef, but do yourself a favor if you work in a line kitchen and buy the whole damn set. You’ll thank yourself later.
